After a life long love-affair with coffee and over 25 years experience in the industry, we decided to take the reins in 2016 and Dark Horse Coffee Co. was born.
Since then we have tinkered away night and day to perfect our offerings at our Kapiti Coast Roastery, nestled in the heart of the Paraparaumu industrial zone. After investing in our state-of-the-art Loring hot-air roaster in 2018, we have managed take our coffees to a new level of flavour and consistency, while also reducing our emissions by up to 80%, so your cup won’t cost the earth.
Our focus is hand-crafting a range of perfectly balanced coffees to be enjoyed anywhere, anytime and by anyone. Our range of blends and seasonal single origins have rapidly won the hearts and taste buds of coffee lovers NZ wide, and our Dark Horse family continues to grow by the day.
Although our tight-knit team of roasters and baristas are both artists and perfectionists, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and prefer to let our flavours do the talking. We believe it’s our job to take care of the details and fiddly bits so that all you have to do is choose your brew, then kick back and indulge.
